BailaTON: The reggaeton revolution from Krakow under the direction of Piotrek Grzybek

A special dance group has emerged in the vibrant dance scene of Krakow: BailaTon, led by dance teacher Piotrek Grzybek. What makes this group so extraordinary is their unique approach to the reggaeton style. Piotrek and his team have managed to popularize reggaeton in Poland and at the same time develop their own unmistakable style.

The beginnings of BailaTON

BailaTON was founded in Krakow a few years ago when Piotrek Grzybek discovered his passion for reggaeton and began to spread this dance style in Poland. Although reggaeton is traditionally rooted in the streets of Puerto Rico and Cuba, it was still relatively unknown in Poland. Piotrek, who already had a strong dance career in hip-hop and street dance, recognized the potential of this vibrant dance style and decided to bring it to Krakow with a fresh, urban twist.

With a group of enthusiastic dancers, he founded BailaTon, a dance crew that quickly made a name for itself. The group consists of talented dancers who share Piotrek’s vision of taking reggaeton to a new level. Together they work continuously to develop the dance style while respecting the roots and traditions of reggaeton.

Piotrek Grzybek’s influence: a new style emerges

What makes BailaTon so special is Piotrek’s unique approach to reggaeton. He brings his many years of experience in hip-hop and street dance to give the traditional reggaeton rhythms a new dynamic. His choreographies are characterized by the combination of explosive, energetic movements and flowing, urban steps. He mixes elements from different dance styles such as dancehall, hip-hop and Latin dance to create a versatile and dynamic interpretation of reggaeton.

Piotrek attaches particular importance to his dancers not only mastering the movements, but also internalizing the feeling and energy of reggaeton. He emphasizes that this dance style is about showing passion and expressiveness. His students at BailaTon particularly appreciate his ability to communicate complex choreography in an understandable way while creating a motivating, positive learning environment.
